Perfumery Retreat Terms and Conditions:
When booking a retreat place, you are bound by our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and any changes will be posted on this page. Please make sure that you have read these before you book; continued use of the website will signify acceptance of our terms and conditions.
All events need small print and here is ours. Please read and make sure you are happy before you book your place.

1: A £300 deposit is payable for each full booking and it is non-refundable.
2: The full payment and the non-refundable deposit can be paid via our website. Alternatively, you can contact us if you would prefer to pay via bank transfer or PayPal.
3: We can offer the option to pay in instalments if this makes the total amount more manageable, but the full amount is due before the final payment date 45 days before the event begins.
4: Full payment is required by the final payment date (as above). Cancellations before the payment date will be entitled to a refund of any payments made minus the £300 non-refundable deposit.
5: Any cancellations after the final payment date (of 45 days before the event begins) will not receive a refund, since by this point, we will be fully committed and will have paid for your expenses on your behalf. If we have a waiting list we will ask if anybody would like to fill your space or we will re-advertise, and you are welcome to find someone to take your place. They will need to pay the full balance and you will be refunded all your payments minus a 10% administration fee.
6: We will provide all your food and refreshments for the retreat starting with welcome drinks and dinner on the first day of the event, and finishing with breakfast on morning of the last day of the event. Water, coffee, tea, and decaf drinks, will always be available.
7: If you wish to bring a spouse, partner, friend, sibling, etc. who will not be taking part in the perfumery classes, we are happy for them to share your double or twin room subject to the following additional conditions:
7a: A supplement must be paid to cover additional costs including breakfast and dinner. Lunch is not included in the supplement.
7b: They will not be able to spend time in the common areas of Mendip View during the day (the large shared, house where the classes will be held) and they will not be able to join any perfume-related activities or excursions programmed. They can stay in their room or go out; they can also book time in the indoor swimming pool (free) or treatments in the spa (treatments must be paid for separately).
8: INSURANCE - Please consider that that this is a big investment and that we cannot offer refunds for cancellations after the final payment date (of 45 days before the event begins) due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you take out insurance, just as you would for a holiday or trip, flight, etc., to cover you in case something happens and you need to change your plans.
9: We reserve the right to make changes to the program due to illness and other unforeseen circumstances. We will always endeavour to offer something of similar or higher value. If that is not possible, a percentage refund will be offered, if necessary, to compensate for any changes.

10: If we, for any reason, have to cancel the retreat, you will be entitled to a full refund of any fees paid.
Final note
We have designed this event as a retreat as we want people to come and be able to completely immerse themselves in the art of perfumery for a few days. We want this to be the most enjoyable way to spend time learning and creating, from great teaching to great accommodation, from great service to great food. We are endeavouring to cover everything we can but if you have any questions or feel that some information is missing, please do get in touch so we can answer your query.
